A bit about bits

Going bit shopping tomorrow!  Tell me about what bit YOU use...  What is your horses level of training?   What discipline do you ride?

Wyatt and Fancy pay us a visit

Cute "Fancy" or 'Mare', as she was know at the farm is doing great! Wyatt brought her over for a saddle fitting yesterday, and took a ride around in our ring.

This cute little mare was very resistant to move when she came to us for training. She could not tolerate having a saddle put on her back, and when she finally was mounted under saddle, she refused to move.

After receiving 30+ days of our professional training, Fancy is now back at her home and riding daily. Her owner reports she is doing great!

Meet Dante

Dante - Isn't he handsome??!!!

Breed: Paint / Draft Horse
Age: 7
Purpose: Trail Riding

Dante is one of our newest clients here at the farm. Dante came to use because he has some bucking issues. Dante is progressing very nicely and has been receiving 30-days training here at Higher Ground Stables.

His owner is very involved with his training sessions, and together they are learning to communicate effectively. We think he's a great horse and he is going to make an awesome trail horse when he is finished!

Our latest saddle model is the Kydaho Rancher. (Variation #1)

Features a bicycle seat, all brass hardware and rawhide trim. This gorgeous saddle is proudly made in the USA, one at a time. We offer this and more custom saddles at our website, Allegany Mountain Trail Saddles.

Thanks to our Idaho dealer, Kyle Phillips for design inspiration!
